Abstract

A Collaborative User Experience Technical Report: more about CUE...

Research on information-seeking in teams tends to neglect the influence of social relationships. the few studies that have looked at social relationships suggest that people are motivated to seek information from people that they like or who they believe to be the best providers of information. We explore a complementary approach that links perceptions of citizenship behavior to information-seeking. We further hypothesize that citizenship behavior will b positively associated with individual performance. Results indicate that team members who facilitate knowledge transfer and team-level performance do so to the detriment of their own individual-level performance.
